What Our Customers Say

Sensible Wine Services are a pleasure to work with and the small yet extremely knowledgeable and professional team take away much of the stress and effort of organising a tasting and you know that wines, glasses, spittoons, chiller buckets and ice will all arrive at the right place and the right time.

Chris Hardy Director and Owner - Charles Sydney Wines

It is such a joy to work with Sensible Wine Services because I can be certain that every wine, whether sparkling, white or red, will be served at the correct temperature and in perfect condition at my masterclasses and it doesn’t matter how many attendees are involved!

Matthew Jukes Director - The Vineyard Show

"For more than a decade Sensible Wine has provided MoneyWeek with a consistently reliable service, with excellent communication and wonderfully efficient attention to detail. Highly recommended."

Joanna Gibbs Chief Sub Editor - MoneyWeek

“Sensible Wine Services have helped us deliver impeccable events for clients big and small for over 20 years. Their knowledgeable and experienced team make sure tastings are set up smoothly and meet clients’ exacting standards, always keeping a cool head in sometimes challenging environments.”

Céline Bouteiller Otaria Communications & Media Ltd

“Together with Jane hunt MW I have been working every year with SWS since 2017, for each of our large-scale, producer-led tastings. Every time SWS has proven an extremely reliable and flexible partner who can run very tight schedules. They overachieve in every aspect, from receiving and putting in order literally thousands of bottles of wine, to the flawless set up of venues with a great eye of detail and hiring competent staff. SWS have been crucial in the success of every of our trade events.”

Walter Speller Editor Italy - www.JancisRobinson.com

I chose Peter Franz of Sensible Wine Services (SWS) to provide logistics for the Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships (CSWWC) in 2014 because he was everywhere you turned on the London tasting circuit and had far more experience of servicing international wine competitions, fairs, tasting and other events than anyone else. Eleven years on and I am happier than ever. Donald is in charge and with James they are embedded with us 24/7 for two weeks every year. They are regarded by all of us as part of the CSWWC family. Their efficiency and reliability are second to none thanks in large part to the constant back-up provided by the guys and girls back at SWS HQ. They not only receive and collate the wines as they are received, but also arrange the tastings in the required flights, pour all the wines into sparkling clean, numbered Riedel Veritas glasses, which is all we ever see. No bottles in bags dumped on the table to give the judges any hint of their identity at the CSWWC. Working together we adapt and refine the process so that the service they provide improves with each year

Tom Stevenson Chairman - The Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships

SWS always provide a top notch service for all our events. Everything is always spot on as per the order plus their helpful and punctual drivers make for a stress free experience. Definitely a company I recommend on a regular basis

Jason Macauley Facilities and Events Manager - Boutinot Wines

“I have been working with Sensible Wine Services for many more years that I care to admit to.  They are hard-working, conscientious and solution driven.  On the occasions that they have been let down by third party suppliers for my events – circumstances outside their control – they have always managed to magic up whatever has been needed: staff, tables, tablecloths.  On one memorable occasion, all three at once!  I trust them – they’re good people and I like working with them"
